Enfin, pardon, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix <\/mark><\/strong>!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sinon, j&rsquo;utilise le \u00ab\u00a0<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">X<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb pour un anc\u00eatre sans nom connu. D&rsquo;o\u00f9 cela vient-il ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-vivid-red-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-vivid-red-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#f4d3d3\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix <\/mark><\/strong>serait une aph\u00e9r\u00e8se de <em>cocatrix<\/em>, issu du latin m\u00e9dieval <em>cocatris<\/em> qui d\u00e9signe en ancien fran\u00e7ais un animal fantastique. <em>Cocatris <\/em>vient du verbe latin <em>calc\u0101re<\/em> (fouler, marcher sur, presser avec le pied) qui a donn\u00e9 le nom <em>calx, calcis<\/em> signifiant \u00ab\u00a0talon\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0plante du pied\u00a0\u00bb. Ainsi, le latin m\u00e9di\u00e9val <em>calc\u0101trix <\/em>(la foulante) a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 dans les langues romanes et en anglais m\u00e9di\u00e9val pour nommer un monstre qui tue par le regard ou le souffle, comme s\u2019il \u00e9crasait ou fauchait la vie.<br><br>Cette cr\u00e9ature imaginaire poss\u00e8de une t\u00eate de coq, des ailes de chauve-souris et un corps de serpent. Le ou la cocatrix serait n\u00e9(e) d&rsquo;un \u0153uf de serpent couv\u00e9 par une poule noire, l&rsquo;une des images sataniques du Moyen \u00c2ge. Il est symbole de mort. Ce qui correspond bien \u00e0 l&rsquo;aire g\u00e9ographique de mes <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix<\/mark><\/strong>. Mon premier <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix <\/mark><\/strong>aurait donc \u00e9t\u00e9 l&rsquo;un d&rsquo;eux&#8230;<br><br>Beaucoup moins folklorique, certains y voient tout simplement le pr\u00e9nom <em>Catherine<\/em> signifiant \u00ab\u00a0pure\u00a0\u00bb, du grec <em>katharos<\/em>. Le premier anc\u00eatre <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix <\/mark><\/strong>serait un Catherin ou le descendant d&rsquo;une Catherine&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mes <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Catrix <\/mark><\/strong>vivaient \u00e0 Samois-sur-Seine dans l&rsquo;actuelle Seine-et-Marne. Au fil du temps, dans les tableaux g\u00e9n\u00e9alogiques imprim\u00e9s ou manuscrits, certains ont simplifi\u00e9 ce <em><strong>N.<\/strong><\/em> en \u00ab\u00a0<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">X<\/mark><\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, probablement par analogie avec le X utilis\u00e9 pour marquer une croix \u00e0 la place d\u2019une signature par ceux qui ne savaient pas \u00e9crire. D\u2019o\u00f9 l\u2019id\u00e9e : \u00ab\u00a0on ne conna\u00eet pas son nom alors on met <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">X<\/mark><\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0.<br><br>En g\u00e9n\u00e9alogie moderne, le \u00ab\u00a0<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">X<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb est souvent employ\u00e9 pour d\u00e9signer un conjoint ou un anc\u00eatre sans nom connu en France. Mais en Allemagne, on trouve parfois \u201c<strong>NN<\/strong>\u201d (<em>Nomen nescio<\/em> : \u00ab\u00a0je ne connais pas le nom\u00a0\u00bb), en Angleterre, on voit souvent \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Unknown<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0ou \u00ab\u00a0<strong>?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb et en Espagne ou Italie, certains \u00e9crivent \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Desconocido\/a<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Ignoto\/a<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J&rsquo;en ai une grande quantit\u00e9 dans mon ascendance au XVI-XVII<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle en particulier. Ce \u00ab\u00a0<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">X<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb repr\u00e9sente 3 cas diff\u00e9rents :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>il s&rsquo;agit de femmes dont je ne connais que le pr\u00e9nom bien souvent ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mais j&rsquo;ai aussi cr\u00e9\u00e9 dans mon ascendance des femmes X sans pr\u00e9nom quand j&rsquo;ai des enfants issus de deux unions diff\u00e9rentes qui sont donc fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs ut\u00e9rins mais pour lesquels je n&rsquo;ai aucune information sur leur m\u00e8re ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>quelques-unes ne sont connues que comme femmes d&rsquo;untel ou m\u00e8re d&rsquo;untel, \u00e0 leur d\u00e9c\u00e8s par
